You can access our mobile banking platform through these two channels:
A. DIB Mobile Banking – USSD
To activate mobile banking dial *278# and enter your PIN.
This service is available to both Safaricom and Airtel Subscribers.
The services available on *278# are:
- Balance enquiry and Mini statement request
- Send airtime to your phone or to any Safaricom, Airtel or Telkom Subscriber
- Transfer of funds from your DIB Bank Account to your M-PESA or any MPESA subscriber
- Transfer of funds from your DIB Bank Account to your Airtel Money or any Airtel Money subscriber
- Pay your KPLC, DSTV, GOTV, Zuku, Nairobi water and purchase KPLC prepaid Token directly from DIB account
- Conduct funds transfers within DIB Bank Accounts
- Fund your DIB Bank account via MPESA using PayBill 342342
B. DIB (K) Mobile Application
The DIB (K) Mobile App is a Mobile Banking App owned by DIB Bank and is available on Android and IOS app stores.

You can access all your accounts apart from your loan accounts. Funds transfer services however, are currently only accessible for the Kenya Shilling current accounts

Please note that you can only hold a maximum of Kes 100,000 in your MPESA account. If you attempt to transfer an amount that will result in your MPESA account having a balance higher than the allowed maximum of Kes 100,000, the transaction will fail.
- What is the process for transferring money from Airtel Money to DIB Bank Account?

- Go to the Airtel SIM toolkit
- Select Airtel Money
- Select Make Payments
- Select Paybill
- Scroll down and select ‘Other’
- In the Business Name section, type in the Paybill Number: 342342
- Enter the amount in Kshs you want to pay.
- Enter your secret Airtel Money PIN.
- Under reference, enter DIB Bank Account Number
If the above procedure does not work, use the procedure below.
- Dial *222#
- Select Airtel Money Menu
- Select your language.
- Select Lipa na Airtel Money
- Select Pay Bill
- Select Other
- In the Business Name section, type in the Paybill Number: 342342
- Enter the amount in Kshs you want to pay.
- Enter your secret Airtel Money PIN.
- Enter the DIB Bank Account Number
- Is there a dispute resolution process in place in case my bills are not credited to my utility accounts?

- Do I have to specifically register for the bill payment facility?

No, the first time you pay a bill you will be allowed to type and save the bill number for subsequent payments.
- How long does it take for funds transferred from my bank account to reach my MPESA/Airtel Money wallet?

The funds will be credited in less than 5 minutes unless there is a system downtime.
- Can I transfer funds my bank account to another MPESA/Airtel Money wallet apart from my registered number?

Yes. In addition to being able to send money to yourself, you can also make a transfer to a different Airtel/M-PESA account.
Note:
You will receive a message from DIB Bank confirming that funds have been sent to M-PESA or Airtel Money. The message will have the reference and recipient names
- After how long will I receive my PIN?

Upon successful registration, you should receive your PIN and a Recreate Key within 1 business day.
NOTE:
Both PIN and recreate Key will expire within 12 hours. Please ensure to use them as soon as received
- What do I do if I forget my DIB Mobile PIN?

If you subscribe to the service through USSD, you should proceed to dial the short code and enter your PIN.
If you access the service through the DIB mobile application:
- Download the DIB (K) Mobile App from the app store to your new handset
- Enter the registered mobile number
- Enter the PIN
- Enter the Recreate Key that will be sent to the registered number though SMS

- Customer has an active DIB Bank Current Account

Yes you can. You can transfer a Min of Kshs.100 to a maximum of Kshs.70, 000 per transaction. A maximum of KShs.140, 000 per day is allowed

To send funds to DIB Bank account from M-PESA, follow the process below:
- Go to the M-PESA App or SIM toolkit
- Select Lipa na M-PESA
- Select Paybill
- Enter Business number as 342342
- Enter the 15-digit DIB account number
- Enter amount to transfer and M-PESA PIN
You will receive a confirmation message from M-PESA and another from DIB Bank account confirming successful credit to the account
- What should I do if the recipient claims that they have not received money or airtime sent to them?

IMMEDIATELY contact the DIB Bank Kenya Contact Centre where we will be able to assist you in reversing the amount.
