To register for the DIB mobile banking services:
- Visit the branch and complete the application form OR
- Select the service on the account opening form
- You MUST be a current account holder of DIB Bank.
- You MUST be a mobile subscriber of a cellular service provider for receipt of Log in PIN upon registration.

You can access our mobile banking platform through these two channels:
A. DIB Mobile Banking – USSD
To activate mobile banking dial *278# and enter your PIN.
This service is available to both Safaricom and Airtel Subscribers.
The services available on *278# are:
- Balance enquiry and Mini statement request
- Send airtime to your phone or to any Safaricom, Airtel or Telkom Subscriber
- Transfer of funds from your DIB Bank Account to your M-PESA or any MPESA subscriber
- Transfer of funds from your DIB Bank Account to your Airtel Money or any Airtel Money subscriber
- Pay your KPLC, DSTV, GOTV, Zuku, Nairobi water and purchase KPLC prepaid Token directly from DIB account
- Conduct funds transfers within DIB Bank Accounts
- Fund your DIB Bank account via MPESA using PayBill 342342
B. DIB (K) Mobile Application
The DIB (K) Mobile App is a Mobile Banking App owned by DIB Bank and is available on Android and IOS app stores.
The App has the following features:
- Quick balance display for registered accounts
- Branch & ATM locator with banking hours’ information
- Fast contact to DIB Bank customer care services via telephone, email & social media (Twitter and Facebook)
- Transfer of funds from your DIB Bank Account to M-PESA or Airtel Money that is linked to phone address book
- Airtime purchase service that is linked to phone address book

You can access all your accounts apart from your loan accounts. Funds transfer services however, are currently only accessible for the Kenya Shilling current accounts

Note: Please note that you can only hold a maximum of Kes 100,000 in your MPESA account. If you attempt to transfer an amount that will result in your MPESA account having a balance higher than the allowed maximum of Kes 100,000, the transaction will fail.

Personal Financing
1. WHAT IS DIB MORTGAGE FINANCING?
DIB mortgage financing is a solution that avails funds to customers for purchase of completed residential housing unit, plot purchase or construction of a house on a preowned plot.
2. HOW DO I KNOW IF I QUALIFY FOR MORTGAGE FINANCING?
To start with, your net income should be able to support the monthly mortgage repayments and still remain within the 2/3 debt burden ratio. In addition, your salary should be channeled through DIB Bank Kenya.
3. WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO APPLY FOR DIB MORTGAGE?
You need to complete a Mortgage Facility application form and return it alongside some few basic personal documents. A checklist of required documents can be obtained at any of our branches.
4. HOW MUCH DEPOSIT DO I NEED TO RAISE BEFORE I CAN OBTAIN BANK FINANCING?
You will be required to raise just 5% of purchase price and DIB will finance you for the 95% balance if purchasing a completed unit. For plot purchase DIB will finance 70% while for construction, DIB will finance 80%.
5. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH MORTGAGE FINANCE?
In addition to monthly repayments, other costs that you need to consider include but no limited to; legal fees, valuation fees, taxes and statutory levies, insurance premiums among others.
6. HOW CAN I ESTIMATE THE EXPECTED MONTHLY REPAYMENT?

1. WHAT DOES DIB AUTO FINANCE ENTAIL?
Our Auto Finance avails funds for purchasing motor vehicles for personal or business use for sole proprietors.
2. HOW DO I APPLY FOR AUTO FINANCE?
Our process is quick and easy. Simply walk to any of our branches and our relationship team will assist you to complete the DIB Auto finance application form. Return the form to get with requisite documents and you will have a feedback within 4 days.
3. DOES THE MOTOR VEHICLE HAVE TO BE NECESSARILY BRAND NEW?
No. We financing you for both new and preowned vehicles.
4. WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE AGE LIMIT FOR FINANCING PREOWNED VEHICLES?
The maximum age allowed for preowned (used) vehicles is 7 years from the date of manufacture.
5. HOW MUCH SHOULD I RAISE BEFORE THE BANK CAN FINANCE ME FOR MOTOR VEHICLE PURCHASE?
DIB will finance up to 80% of purchase price for new vehicles and 70% for preowned vehicles. You will be required to deposit your portion of financing before the bank avails financing.
1. WHAT DOES DIB PERSONAL FINANCE COVER?
Through DIB personal finance, we provide you with funds required for your day to day needs. Whether to purchase household goods or meet emergency cash needs, this solution caters for it.
2. WHAT IS THE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA TO GET PERSONAL FINANCE?
Your net salary after statutory deductions and other financial obligations determines how much you qualify to get as personal finance.
3. DO I HAVE TO CHANNEL MY SALARY THROUGH DIB TO QUALIFY FOR PERSONAL FINANCE?
Yes it is mandatory that your employee remits your salary through DIB Bank for you to enjoy our personal finance facility.
4. WHAT ARE THE OTHER CHARGES ASSOCIATED WITH PERSONAL FINANCE?
There is a documentation fee of 2% for facilities of up to Kes 1 Million. Facilities above Kes 1Million will attract a lower fee of 1%.
5. WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT AND MAXIMUM TENURE FOR THE FACILITY?
Based on your income and other existing financial obligations, you may qualify for up to Kes 4 Million with a repayment period of up to 60 months.

In asset based financing, the asset purchased becomes the collateral for that facility.

The purpose for SME Mortgage is to finance self-employed people and businesses for to acquire developed residential and commercial properties in urban areas.

DIB Bank Kenya Mortgage Finance will cater for up to 80% purchase price of commercial and 90% of residential property. The customer will be expected to raise the other portion before the bank funds are released.

Takaful
This is a shariah compliant Facility that allows you to pay for your takaful premiums in installments over a maximum of 10 Months.
We finance Takaful policies with up to 12 months validity period e.g. Motor, Medical etc. As noted earlier, we only finance takaful policies issued by shariah compliant takaful operators.
The funds are paid directly to the takaful Operator. Your takaful Operator / agent is informed immediately this is done.

We accept payments through cheques (first two instalments will be via a current cheque and the rest postdated). You will be required to open a DIB Bank account.
No. Even if you do not have an account with us we will still finance your Takaful Premium financing application. However, as a condition, you will be required to open and operate a DIB Bank account.
We will call you immediately to replace the payment and also inform your Takaful Operator.
The profit rate applicable varies. Its determined by the CBK rate.

DIB Bank Kenya Limited will send you a notification text to your registered mobile number at the end of the transaction. You may also access your account statement through our mobile and internet banking or any of our ATM machines.
- Always confirm the amount reflected on the deposit slip issued at Co-0p Bank, it will show the name and account number of your DIB Bank Kenya Account and the amount deposited. Should you have any dispute at the point of the transaction, the same can be picked with the teller.

Yes, you can by providing the account number and directing whoever is sending money to use the ‘Send to Account’ option.
The service is currently available on the DIB mobile App; thus, one needs a smart phone to access this service.
No. PesaLink does not provide funds transfer to those without a bank account.
A customer can link one account from each bank that they bank with.

No, users will not be charged to receive funds on PesaLink
You will receive an SMS confirming successful transaction
Reversal of Pesalink transaction is automated i.e., if failure is due to system functionality, invalid account number or phone number.
The customer will be required to call the bank to initiate a reversal request for the transaction. Bank will follow process of reversal request as stipulated in the process by the member banks.
